Teriyaki Beef Stir Fry
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb thinly sliced beef
- 2 cups mixed vegetables
- 1 t oil
- 1 T oil
- 1 t garlic salt
- 1 pinch of salt
For the sauce:
- 1 T minced ginger
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 3 T sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 t cornstarch
How to:
- Add the teaspoon of oil to pan on medium heat.
- Add mixed vegetables. after 3 min, add 1 T water, stir then cover pan for 3 min to steam.
- Stir one more time, then remove vegetables from from pan.
- Add the tablespoon of oil to pan still on medium heat.
- Add beef, don't stir leave it on cooking on one side for 3 min.
- Flip beef to other side, cook for another 3 min.
- Add garlic salt and salt, mix around the meat until everything is slightly browned.
- Remove from pan.
- Add ginger, garlic, soy sauce, water, sugar to pan. Put it on Medium heat, stir until sugar is dissolved.
- In a separate bowl mix cornstarch with 1 T water til its milky looking.
- Bring sauce to a boil then add cornstarch mixture. Cook and keep stirring until sauce thickens to desired liking.
- Add beef and vegetables to sauce in the pan. Cook and mix for about 5 min just to get everything coated and reheated.
- Serve hot!

This is the first time I've ever tried this recipe and it turned out amazing. I usually eat things with rice but this is great on its own as well. I had bought frozen mixed vegetables a while ago but never really cooked them because I didn't know what to do with them and i'm really not a big fan of vegetables. But this recipe was great, I ate all of the vegetables with no complaints.
