Kalua Pig with Cabbage
Ingredients:
- 1 Pkg Mayʻs Hawaii Kalua Brand Shredded Pork
- Whole cabbage head
- 1/2 white onion, diced
- 1 t water
- 1 T oil
How to:
- Thaw shredded pork, keep it in package. Donʻt open it.
- Cut whole cabbage head into 4 pieces. Cut those pieces in half. Then slice into 1/2 inch shreds. Rinse thorough with cold water.
- Heat pot on low and add oil.
- Add onions, cook until translucent.
- Add cabbage and water. Mix once and cover pot.
- Cook for 5 min, uncover and mix again.
- Cook uncovered until soft, mix occasionally.
- When cooked add thawed shredded pork.
- Mix everything, cook for 5 min with pot covered.
- Uncover pot, cook for another 10 min, mixing occasionally.
- Serve hot.

I love this recipe, its so easy to do and with only a few ingredients. It doesn't take long to make as well, Iʻd say with preparations and cooking about 30 min. The food is great by itself, but if you want a little more bang to it, you can put the soy sauce over your rice. This is my go to recipe, when iʻm lazy.
This food looks good. Not a lot ingredients, so I want to cook it! I think it is good combination with beer.
